Ports America, the largest port operator in the United States, hired Bauen to address a unique challenge - create an ignition starter solution for all 600 of their Dodge Caravans to enhance the transportation efficiency of port workers. Beginning with us taking a physical clay model to conceptualize the initial design, the project evolved through CAD design, development, rigorous real-world testing and refinement.

Over the course of a year, our team engaged in a detailed iterative process, frequently visiting the port to ensure the solution met every specific need.This collaboration culminated in the successful delivery of a tailored, SLA 3D-printed ignition starter.

Swisslog Healthcare was facing an issue with their PillPick® Automated Packaging and Dispensing System - hospital staff using their machine were being injured by the cutter blade on the systems label maker when changing rolls of label tape.

Working hand in hand with Swisslog, we developed and produced a custom protective guard to prevent hospital staff from being injured during the label maker tape replacement process.

The guard was delivered within three and a half weeks, demonstrating our rapid design & prototyping abilities

The U.S. Department of Labor chose Bauen Innovations to highlight 3D printing technology at their annual Tech Day event. For this special occasion, we designed and printed 2,000 unique commemorative coins to distribute to attendees. Setting up our booth at the Department of Labor, we operated our 3D printers on-site for seven hours, demonstrating the printing process in real-time and engaging with visitors. Throughout the day, we not only showcased our 3D printing capabilities but also enhanced the event by providing a hands-on experience with live demonstrations, fulfilling a distinctive role in promoting advanced technology.

Bauen Innovations was hired by Lincoln University, a historically African-American institution, to support their newly launched 3D printer program within their incubator. A few months into the program, the university faced challenges with four of their printers. We preemptively repaired two printers at our workshop, then returned them to the university and spent a day on-site addressing the remaining two. During our visit, we not only restored their 3D printing lab to full operation but also conducted comprehensive training for staff and students. This initiative empowered them to manage minor issues independently, showcasing our commitment to support and education in the burgeoning field of 3D printing technology.
